October 7, 2009 Junior Class Dues are due now…… the price is $65. The price will increase after Christmas. Fall Break will be on Monday (Oct. 12) and Tuesday (Oct. 13). Students will not be in school on those days. Career Day Wednesday, Oct. 14, BCHS will celebrate Career Day. The 9th graders will be have the opportunity to hear a number of guest speakers from many career fields and register online with the GCIS (Georgia Career Information Center). The 10th and 11th graders will be taking the PSAT. The seniors are going to visit the College at Coastal Georgia in Brunswick.
Athletics: Brantley 35 Jeff Davis 6 Devon Blankenship- 9 for 13 for 162 yards, 1 TD, 4 rushes for 12 yards, 1 TD Seth Hendrix- 5 receptions for 58 yards Jameson Williams- 4 receptions for 83 yards, 1 TD Ryan Blount- 5 carries for 32 yards, 1TD, 1 reception for 21 yards Lawton Dixon- 9 rushes for 58 yards, 1TD Ryan Cox- 9 rushes for 57 yards, 1TD Ron Tindall- 1 rush for 6 yards Brantley County Air Force JROTC Brantley County AFJROTC Wins the Houston County Drill Meet Championship held at Robins Air Force Base, Warner-Robins Georgia Saturday October 3, 2009. Brantley County defeated Warner Robins, Newman High , Houston County, Northside and 14 other 5A Schools enroute to their first Drill Meet Championship. Brantley took home a record 11 Trophies to include 1st in Armed Exhibition Drill, 2nd in Unarmed Exhibition Drill, 2nd and 3rd in Color Guard, 3rd in Armed Regulation Drill , 3rd in the Push-up Competition, 5th in Unarmed Regulation Drill and 5th in Regulation Inspection. Brantley County combined scores were enough to bring home the coveted Overall Drill Champion Trophy and Overall Meet Champion Trophy. The Championship secures an automatic bid to the National Joint Services Junior ROTC Drill Championships held at Daytona Beach Florida in May 2010. “Our motto this year is “Yes we Can” Philippians 4:13. We thank God for hearing and answering our prayers. Our fitness team members are: Brandon Waters, B.J.
